It was around 7 p.m. when I received the DocuSign contract that marked the last step of an acquisition process my entire team had been working on for almost a full year. I’d just checked myself into a rented apartment in Dubai. It was a stopover on the way back from a business trip to Sydney and a chance to visit our Middle East offices.
